Vaccination Awareness & Preventive Immunization

Vaccination is more than a medical act

Vaccination is more than a medical act — it’s a promise of protection, a symbol of hope, and one of the most effective ways to prevent infections before they occur. Every vaccine given is a step toward saving lives, reducing disease, and building healthier, stronger communities.

Across Somalia and East Africa, many families still face challenges in accessing vaccines. Limited resources, misinformation, fragile healthcare systems, and poor record-keeping continue to leave newborns, children, and even adults unprotected from preventable diseases such as measles, polio, hepatitis B, and tuberculosis. These gaps not only endanger lives but also threaten the progress made in infection prevention and control.

At AIDA Health Advisory Group, we believe prevention is power. Vaccination is at the heart of infection prevention — protecting individuals, families, and entire communities from diseases that can be avoided. Our mission is to close the immunization gap, restore public confidence, and strengthen healthcare systems to ensure that every person — from newborns to adults — receives the vaccines they need.

Our Focus and Actions

Strengthening Vaccination Systems: We work with hospitals, clinics, and community health teams to improve vaccination delivery, outreach services, and cold-chain reliability — ensuring that vaccines reach every household safely and on time.

Empowering Healthcare Workers: AIDA provides practical training for healthcare professionals on vaccine handling, infection control, and data management. Every dose given must be safe, recorded, and delivered with care.

Educating and Engaging Communities: Through school programs, mosque campaigns, and local awareness initiatives, we encourage parents and caregivers to understand that vaccination is not just a choice — it’s protection for everyone.

Improving Vaccination Records: We support both paper-based and digital systems to keep accurate vaccination histories. By promoting digital record-keeping, AIDA helps ensure better tracking, follow-up, and accountability.

Promoting Adult Immunization: Our programs also focus on adults who remain unvaccinated against diseases such as Hepatitis B, highlighting the importance of lifelong protection and workplace safety for healthcare staff and communities alike.

Our Vision

A Somalia — and an East Africa — where no child suffers from a preventable disease, where families trust the healthcare system, and where vaccination is embraced as a shared social responsibility.

AIDA Health Advisory Group stands for a future where prevention saves lives, data strengthens systems, and immunization empowers communities — protecting every generation, one vaccine at a time.
